Overview
Lumber Society took a step into the future this past Wednesday and introduced our new Camp Master, Chris Hyde. The rest of the new board members for Lumber Society were in attendance as well but watching from behind the scenes, waiting hand and foot to make sure the new push Lumber Society needed was executed properly.

We had many new faces sitting in anticipation for Knife Carving to begin. This brought a lot of Joy to all the LS Board Members because they’ve been developing out what Lumber Society 2.0 would look like and my goodness the future looks incredible.

Only one Raccoon came to support.
While Beavers took the crown for most attended.
We had a lot of questions/concerns that came up that we would like to address.
~ I’ve signed up and taken the Quiz and haven’t received any emails, updates, contact...What do I do?
A: We have sent out over 900 emails this past week to the folks who have signed up and here is what we found out...The email goes to the spam folder. This is no good, but the fix is super easy. Locate in your mailbox this email address (lumbersociety@buzzmillcoffee.com) and give it permission to go to your inbox. It is sent out via SendPulse.

~I don’t have a facebook. How do I stay up to date?
A: This is understandable and not weird at all. We will provide event info on our site along with ticket links. If you don’t get our emails for some reason or another then check out the blog for Lumber Society. And if all else fails then email: joelucky@buzzmillcoffee.com and I’ll get you up to date.
~ Do I have to buy a ticket to attend?
A: No. The tickets are for those who would like some perks. Perks include but limited to: front row seats/reserved seats. A unique takeaway. A free drink. And various Merch.

~Do we have a instagram?
A: At this point in time, No. This will change in the next few days. Stay tuned.
~How do I volunteer?
A: Right now the best way to let us know that you’d like to help out in any shape or form is to email: joelucky@buzzmillcoffee.com
~Are the classes permanent or do they change each year?
A: The classes we offer for Lumber Society will be permanent. Meaning they will occur the same month each year. So expect a Knife Carving class to come up again next August. We made the classes permanent so we can let people test out and earn their GRIZZ Patch. Once earned you’ll be on your way to the second part of Lumber Society.
~Since the classes are Permanent and the GRIZZ Patch test out is coming up...how do I get the patches for the classes I missed?
A: We will host classes once a month or once every other month that will allow individuals to catch up on their patches. These classes will require you to purchase a ticket.
~Is Lumber Society free?
A: In short, yes. It’s free for the time being. We are currently thinking of ways to keep Lumber Society sustainable and there is talk of a membership idea. The ticket sales we do have goes directly back into Lumber Society so we can continue doing what we love to do.
~Is there a Leaderboard for Lumber Society?
A: At the moment, No. We will unveil the point system in the near future. We are in the process of developing it with The Keeper.
