It's spring time and that means flowers, plants, trees, shrubs & vines are out for us to identify.
Meet at Buzz MIll for a free drink at 1pm then head over to Roy G for an extensive look into the world of all the most common useful plants and trees of the Central Texas Hill Country.
Participants will explore edible, medicinal and utilitarian uses of the local flora while exploring one of Austin's unique and tucked away parks. Join us and learn to decode the wall of green that surrounds us in beautiful Austin, Texas.
Oaks, elms, mesquites, mulberries and cottonwoods … how many trees can you identify? Even more important, how many are you able to use to enrich your day-to-day life? Come explore with us as we learn all about what trees, shrubs and vines surround us here in the Central Texas region.
In addition to identifying these magnificent giants we will also discuss the useful properties of these life-giving beings. From tools and food to medicine and art we will explore all the Central Texas area has to offer us.
