Workshop: Fire Cider
Description: Join Lumber Society for this month’s Homesteading Class all about making your own Fire Cider Brew for use this coming winter. Fire Cider is a homebrewed tonic made by steeping citrus, ginger, garlic, onions, jalapenos, horseradish, cayenne & turmeric in apple cider vinegar for 4 to 6 weeks. It’s beneficial properties have been used for generations and is a perfect medicinal fermentation class to earn you your fermenting badge at Lumber Society.
About Lumber Society: Lumber Society was founded in 2013 to bring the community together around getting outside and embracing nature. It's like adult scouts where you earn patches and at the end of the 10 core workshops you can test out and earn your Grizz Patch. Homesteading Workshops have yet to be listed in full detail.
Join or Die: That is the Motto of Lumber Society. We believe that if you embrace these skills that Chris Hyde teaches then you'll be more able to survive the first 72 hours of a zombie apocalypse.
Workshop Details: Homesteading workshops are different than the Core workshops because the focus isn’t on surviving for 72 hours but instead surviving longer than Three Months. Almost all of the Homesteading workshops will cost a ticket to attend but absolutely free for those who only want to take notes.
